As He told Malachi. God doesn’t change, He is already the best. He is perfect and perfection itself. But Satan knows that truth also and has had many years of practice deceiving Gods people and twisting it to his own ends. Telling Gods people “do You really believe you can change things through prayer? And one oldie “You can not change God’s mind, because God can’t change”. So he tells us that our prayers are useless, that You’re running into a brick wall,and you’ll never move it. You’re trying to push a mountain; and yes sadly some believe it and live bound to those lies. But When the Bible says that God is unchangeable, it isn’t saying that God doesn’t change His mind. It is saying that God doesn’t change His character. God cannot and will not change His character. He is who He is. But according to Scripture, He can and will change His mind! Abraham knew this. In Genesis 18:16-33 we see him standing before the Lord, he was praying for Sodom and Gomorrah and pleading with the Lord to reconsider His plan to destroy the evil cities. He began by asking the Lord not to wipe out the cities if he found fifty good and righteous people. God agreed, but there weren’t fifty righteous people. So Abraham prayed again. Going back and forth in conversation with God, he finally said if there were just ten. But again there weren’t even ten righteous people in either cities, and God did move in judgment against them.
